Suzanne Lacy’s art is based on a continuous interrogation of the political dimension of life in common: it raises questions about her role as an author, about the art system in its relationships with activism, with social studies, with public space, with institutions, with the market. Her work is driven by a coherent pedagogical concern, acted out according to a horizontal, anti-hierarchical, non-transmissive vision.
